The Air Jordan 18 “Sport Royal” was the very last Air Jordan that Mike would wear in an NBA game.
The then 40-Year-Old, Jordan played in his final NBA game on April 16, 2003 in Philadelphia. Playing for the Washington Wizards and wearing the Air Jordan 18 “Sport Royal”. The GOAT headed to the bench with 4 minutes and 13 seconds remaining in the third quarter to a standing ovation from fans, officials, broadcasters and players.
15 years after MJ’s (third and final) retirement, Jordan Brand will be bringing back the Air Jordan 18, designed by Tate Kuerbis, a long-time Nike designer. The original came with a memorable and now iconic towel, so we’re hoping that this will come with the same, or likely a commemorative 15th anniversary edition.
The Air Jordan 18 “Sport Royal” will release in January 2018, with a specific date to be announced. The price? $225.
